NDA is the best opportunity for all Class 12th students who want to serve their nation. The Union Public Service Commission conducts NDA exam to fill up officer-level vacancies in army, air force and naval academy.

NDAs typically prohibit the sharing of confidential information for a set period of time. NDAs can also be used for freelancers and contractors who might come into contact with sensitive data during the course of their work.

The NDA recruitment process is a long and difficult one, but it’s entirely possible to pass the written exam and interview with proper preparation. The best way to prepare is with the help of a career specialist. They will be able to plan out your studying and preparation schedule and provide you with the tools you need to succeed.

Candidates aspiring to join the Army, Navy or Air Force wing of NDA must have completed Class 12. They must also have passed physics, chemistry and mathematics in their 12th grade under the 10+2 pattern of education from any state board or equivalent.

For female candidates, their age must fall between January 2, 2005 and January 1, 2008. Similarly, they must have successfully completed Class 12 or be currently appearing for it. Applicants must be unmarried and should not get married until they finish their training. They must also meet the physical standards laid out in the notification.

Selection Process

The NDA recruitment is a challenging process that requires a lot of hard work. Aspirants must clear the written exam and SSB interview round to be considered for a career in the armed forces. The selection process is designed to select the best and most qualified candidates. It does not lower its standards even if there is a shortage of new recruits.

The written exam consists of two papers – Mathematics and GAT. The first paper has 120 questions while the second paper has 150 questions. Each question is worth 2.5 marks and 0.83 marks are deducted for a wrong answer. Candidates have to score 300 marks in the Maths paper and 600 marks in the GAT paper to qualify for the SSB interview round.

The SSB interview consists of various tests that assess the candidate’s intelligence and personality. These include a Picture Perception Test, Discussion test, Officer Intelligence Rating test and more. In addition to this, the candidate will undergo medical examination rounds at a military hospital.

Each question in the NDA written examination is worth 2.5 marks, and one-third of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The exam has to be completed in two and a half hours.

The NDA Mathematics questions are structured to assess a candidate’s ability to calculate. It is crucial that candidates study Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, and Geometry extensively. The NDA General Ability Test section contains questions on English and General Knowledge. It is advisable that candidates focus on their spelling, comprehension, and reading skills in the English portion. They should also prepare for the General Knowledge section by studying current affairs, physics, chemistry, history, and other topics.

Having a well-structured study plan is essential to success in any competition. Candidates should follow a schedule and use study materials to cover the entire NDA syllabus.

Mock Tests

Those who want to enrol in the army, air force or navy have to undergo an intense physical test. This test includes several activities and is designed to assess the candidate’s strength, agility, mental and psychological health.

Attempting mock tests gives candidates a realistic exam experience and helps them familiarise with the format. It also helps them analyse their performance by providing a detailed report which includes sections-wise and question-wise breakdown along with marks, time taken, accuracy level etc.

Summary:

By analysing their performance, candidates can identify their weak areas and improve on them accordingly. This will boost their confidence and help them perform optimally in the actual NDA exam. Moreover, the consistent practice of mock tests also helps them track their revision progress. This will ensure that they do not forget any important topics while preparing for the NDA exam. The questions in the mock test are curated by subject matter experts and align with the latest exam pattern and difficulty level.
